So many so called healthy snack diet books these days rely on boring old low carb ingredients or revolting chemically enhanced sweetners and other nasties. But not so Joan’s delicious snacks. Using a careful balance of good carbs and natural ingredients, she manages to deliver a whole host of hunger banishing snacks that rival and in many instances exceed their store bought equivalents – and with considerably less calories. It is a real treat to find a recipe book with lite snacks. Snacks are the downfall of every dieter is our house.I made the corn chips and boy were they good. I can’t wait to make the Apples in a Crock pot. My husband loves backed Apples and these will taste wonderful and be good for him instead of Apple Pie which is one of his favorites.
I’m also going to make the Magnificent Brownies for the grandchildren. They sound divine and also better for them than regular brownies. They should learn how to eat better.
I highly recommend this book for good and good for you recipes. Now we can snack and not feel guilty.
Delicious & Healthy Snacks!
I have two kids and I am very particular on what they eat. Store bought processed food is a big no-no in our home. That’s the reason why I picked up this book.There are over 20 quick and easy snack recipes including chips, dips, snack bars and smoothies. The instructions are well written and simple to follow. Details relating to nutritional content for each recipe are included. This gives the reader the ability to choose the best recipes according to their health status.
There is also a working TOC which is very important in cookbooks and instructional manuals.
I plan on checking out the rest of the books in the series.

Great for fining quality meat
This book is a great guide for what to look for and what to avoid when selecting what meat to add to your diet. It explains clearly what separates super food from average food, and has plenty of resources for recipes and such. I’d have liked to see recipes in the book, but otherwise I thought it was good.Super Book on Superfoods!
This is a great resource for eating healthy. There is a lot of useful information here. I especially like that it is focused on meat and fish. I find this is often overlooked in most books on superfoods.
Incredible Research Done For Us!
This author has compiled such a rich content of ‘superfoods’ I had no idea how to combine before now. The ease of using this book is remarkable as the foods are alphabetized for the reader. I’m really happy to find this book and be able to refer to it as often as I can to create a menu that’s healthy and delicious.I love that the author has included all the health benefits of each food described. I personally have never found all this information in one place until now. It makes it easy for the reader to identify ‘organic’ v. ‘natural’ on food labels. There truly is a big difference. Thanks, too, for the amazing amount of recipes included.

This is the author’s second book about superfoods, the first one was a similar collection and guide to super fruits. I can’t wait for the other books coming out in this series that will cover nutrient dense meats, fish, legumes, grains and fats. This is a roadmap to a healthy diet, and I highly recommend it.A must have reference book for anyone interested in good nutrition.
This book contains a wealth of information about vegetable that are especially rich in nutrients and their health benefits. I love the organization of the book which is by the alphabet, so you’ll find beets under B, and so on. A must have reference book for anyone interested in good nutrition.
