“The Secrets of An Intelligent Consumer”, is a must read for anyone trying to make ends meet. This is an easy to understand, informative book that will teach anyone to save a bundle. I think it is nothing like anyone has read before. Mr. Forte shows exactly what to do and gives some real insight on marketing manipulation. It explains a chock-full of eye-opening gimmicks and ploys used by advertisers and salespeople. Why do we unnecessarily spend so much and go into debt, when it can easily be avoided? The answers will surprise even the most knowledgeable. One of the obvious reasons the book explains is how we get tricked into spending a lot more than we have too. It accurately states how a person can save an average of between $5,000 and $10,000 a year or more using the same goods and services. Incredibly, there are no sacrifices to be made to save that amount. The best part is that it just does not only show how to save money, but teaches how people can cut through all the tricks and know instinctively when they are a prime target for a rip-off. It is unbelievable when I think of all the money that I wasted to get the things I wanted.

    We had pierogies all the time when I was a kid. I loved them but never really learned how to make them. As an adult I relied on store-bought pierogies which are just not as good. So when I saw this book I bought it right away. I found the dough recipe I think my mother used so I was excited to see that. The variety of fillings in the book really amazed me. When I was growing up we had just 3: potato, sauerkraut and sometimes prune. So my first batch is going to be one of the potato fillings. I’m just so jazzed I’ll be able to make pierogies like I had when I was little. The recipes look pretty easy too.
