What People are Saying:

A Bookish Review

A few thoughts after finishing Devoured.

1. Lucas. Holy Hotness Batman, that man was my favorite kind of uber-alpha hero. He was beyond yummy and definitely the reason I read this one so quickly.

2. This book was shorter than I expected, and in many ways certain parts of the story felt a bit rushed while other times i found myself thinking ‘okay, let’s get on with it.’ In fact, i would have to say that 75% of this book was build-up…which is fine, but I would be lying if I didn’t admit that i kinda wished we had more (a lot more) Si/Lucas time and less of the cat & mouse game. Having said that, *SPOILER WARNING* when Si finally does decide to give herself completely to Lucas their love scene was well done…if a little short and less de !–ive than I would have liked. I mean come on…considering this book is about a man obsessed with the idea of this woman being his submissive, I was expecting a LOT more in the sex scene dept. Not exactly Fifty Shades kind of de !–ive, but…just more. In all honesty it felt a little like Snow wanted to gloss over the actual love scene and focus instead on the unconventional love story she was building up to. Which is totally fine. Just being honest with what my expectations were going into this.

3. There were several typos, but nothing out of the ordinary for a self-published book.

4. Okay, one thing that really did bug me? WHY is it that every time I read a book like this (i.e. alpha male Dom tries to get a hesitant woman to be his submissive) there is ALWAYS a psycho ex girlfriend/wife/lover etc in the man’s past?!? I mean it is in every freaking one of these books I have read. GAH!!!

5. But in the end….none of my little nit-picky problems with this book really matter because I truly loved this story overall, and I have 2 words for you…THE. ENDING. Probably one of my favorite endings I have read all year. It was sooo well done and perfect. And even though I am thrilled that Si & Lucas’ story is going to continue, I would have been okay with this being a standalone, simply because of the beautiful ending.

4.0 out of 5 stars 4.5 Stars for this Sexy Angsty Drop Dead Gorgeous Read!
Thanks to the lovely Emily Snow I received an Advanced Readers Copy. And I am excited to say it’s one of the best ARC’s I have ever had the honor of reading and reviewing.

Let me start off by how I loved the whole dynamic of the story. It was well created her teasers helped with getting me; along with countless others readying and waiting for this release.

I loved everything about Lucas! I love a controlling man, but he was controlling and dominant in the good and extremely sexy ways.

Sienna was a push over in some ways, I loved her to pieces, but she needed a man like Lucas in her life.
Lucas and Sienna had a very short past history. And the way I read and understood it; is that Sienna practically haunted him from the moment they met. She was the only one after all not to sleep with our millionaire musician bad boy.

The sexual chemistry between Sienna and Lucas is spotted dead on as soon as you start reading Devoured. And boy do I love me an angsty romance.

Sienna hasn’t seen Lucas since he basically kicked her to the curb because she wouldn’t allow him to be a little kinky in the bedroom two years prior. What she didn’t expect was too see Lucas was the one that was threatening her families happiness. Wait!! He had his own motives towards the end that made him a good guy do not hate him yet. Because he is not a character worth loathing.

He still wants Sienna even after two years of not seeing her. He comes up with a ten day plan where Sienna can not for her own reasons deny his request. After all she pleases everyone, but herself. But she has her reasons and her family is one of them and we all know family comes first.

During their time together the chemistry between the two heats up the pages and I mean scorching freaking hot! He teaches her that she doesn’t have to be a pushover and I loved that he did that.

The title to this book is perfection! Lucas totally devours Sienna. I am not comparing Devoured to any other erotica and romance books out there for many reasons, but the main one is because Emily created a story that I can’t compare to others and that I am thankful for.

I give this beautiful angsty romance story 4.5/5 stars. Only because I wanted more Lucas and Sienna. But then to my surprise Emily has decided to do a Devoured # 2 titled ( Consumed ) I only pray it continues Sienna and Lucas’s story. I wish I could give you all readers more to read in this review, but it’s a new release and I do not like giving away too much as I tend to think it ruins it for others.

If you want a sexy steamy angsty and down right hot book you need to buy a copy of Emily Snow’s Devoured you will not be disappointed. And besides it’s dirt cheap for a new release
$2.99 for a beautiful angsty romance yes please!

Take Me (One Night with Sole Regret) by Olivia Cunning

Kindle Romance! That sums up this next installment in the “Sole Regret” series is sure to spark your interest. This is one of the hottest books in the Kindle store right now and for good reason. Check it out!
Reviews:5.0 out of 5.0! with 14 reviews!
What they are saying:

The only bad thing
… Was that it ended FAR too soon. I actually yelled, “No!” when I flipped to the next page on my Kindle. I want more of this story. MORE!

Take me… HOME!!!
This third installment of the “Sole Regret” Series is the best so far. The quality of this series just keeps getting better and better, mind you, it started out very good but it keeps improving at an unexpected pace.
Olivia Cunning is a master of the Rockstar fantasy, creating the perfect scenarios, characters, dialogues and passions. She certainly has a way with words that never fall flat, bringing to life the fantasies of a rock fan.

We’ve come to know all the members of the band “Sole Regret” through the first two stories, but now we get to really meet in depth the vocalist Shade, I mean, Jacob. Like two sides of the same coin, our hero has two names, stage and life. Always hiding behind dark glasses, Shade is “never going to fall, but never hard to catch” like My Darkest Days sings it. So, your average jerk.
Jacob… well, he’s a complete different story, isn’t he?

I don’t want to reveal any more about the characters or their story. This novella is just such a treat that everybody deserves to dive in as freshly as possible and thoroughly enjoy it as I have.

My biggest issue with this book is that ended way too soon although the story is not over. The author can do a lot with the premises set here. I would encourage her to keep exploring and write a full book.

This story could go so many ways from the point it finishes… I wonder how everything would develop on the long run for all the parts involved. Yes, this is the intensity of the story, it grips you and doesn’t let go even after you’ve finished reading.

Remarks:
– Engaging characters
– Steaming hot erotic scenes
– Recommended soundtrack by the author: “Angel” & “I don’t wanna miss a thing” by Aerosmith, “Walking on Sunshine” by Katrina and the Waves.

Although this is a review of the 3rd book I highly encourage everybody to read the first two books too. Not only they are very affordable, they are incredible good as well.

What others are saying:

Way to Go Tim!
Gotta love Tim and his paranormal stories. They set themselves apart of the mainstream books about vampires and all things that go bump in the night. His ideas are like none other. That is why I will continue to follow him as an author. His latest book “Cowgirls and Vampires” is a great story involving action, adventure, romance and mystery. Not to mention the ending, TIM! How can you leave us like that? We’ll talk about that later. Back to the story. The de !–ion Tim gives about the Wild West is unbelievable. You would think he knows from experience all about how life was back then, and that makes this an even more enjoyable read. His de !–ions really put you in the story, able to picture every rock, mountain, town perfectly in your mind, right down to what the characters are wearing. The story itself is enjoyable too because his creepy crawly characters are not what’s out in the mainstream today. His are a whole different breed just like in his Kiera Hudson series. Tim has given each of his characters a bit of mystery so you are always guessing who the bad guy is or what that person is really about. It completely makes it a page turner. I really hope Tim continues this as a series, especially after the ending. Shame on you for leaving us hanging like that *sad face*. I need to know what happened to Harry! Enjoy.

Eekkkkkkk…………Smashing start for a new series!!
Tim O’Rourke has taken his 1st trip out of YA & straight into Hott Damn!! What an incredible adventure!!

I will admit I was a little nervous going into this. After following Kiera & crew from the Kiera Hudson series for so long now (8 books so far!!) I wasn’t sure how I would feel about getting involved with a new group of characters. As it turns out I feel GREAT! Sammy is one bad-ass cowgirl & her friends are……….. well their something else!! And Harry, oh Harry *sigh* I feel as though Im cheating on Potter & I can’t seem to help myself. Chapter 23…………just sayin 😉 *blushing/grinning* moving on……..

Without going into the plot & spoiling the fun let me just say this book will screw with your head. I didn’t know if I was comin or goin. As per usual O’Rourke style lots of action, blood, gore (I was actually cringing at some parts…..just gross) & surprises around every corner. And the last chapter…UGH pulling my hair out here!! This new series has great potential & I for one CANNOT WAIT to see where he goes from here!! Im sure I will love it. I dont think he could write a bad book if he tried at this point. Smashing start for a new series!!

What others are saying:

Disorders simplified
This book is easy to read, organized, and basic. I learned some logical things about sleeping and not sleeping, and why or why not before I had read half the book. I recommend this book to anyone who has trouble sleeping, or cares about someone who does. It will enlighten you.

Need help with sleep problems? This is a must read!
The author delivers! The book clearly defines the most common types sleep problems – sleep deprivation (a problem for many of us), insomnia, snoring, and sleep apnea. She discusses what they are, the dangers involved, and offers suggestions about how to deal with them. It also discusses sleep problems for pregnant women, infants, toddlers, and older children. If you or any member of your family is struggling with a sleep problem, this is a must read for you! It could make a difference in your well-being and your longevity.
I got this book because my 15 year old daughter has had a hard time falling asleep, even as a baby. After reading the book I realize that it may be a condition that has is identifiable and could be treated by a medical professional. It is helpful to get a deeper understanding of what is going on. Sleep problems are more than just annoying when they effect how you function during the day and the amount of stress you experience. I am grateful to have come across this book when i did.
